It’s still unclear
whether Gonzalo Higuain will leave Napoli to join Arsenal thus summer, but
what’s for certain is that the Argentine striker isn’t just playing football
for the money.
Because if that was the
case, Higuain would be doing a Graziano Pelle right now and moving to
China.
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has
posted a eye-catching update on Twitter, reporting that Higuain has
turned down £800,000 a week to play for Hebei China Fortune.
Hebei China Fortune have been
splashing the cash in recent months, picking up former Arsenal forward
Gervinho, Ezequiel Lavezzi and former Chelsea player Gael Kakuta. So what’s
with Arsenal & Gonzalo Higuain?
Right now, it’s not looking good for the Gunners. On
Wednesday, Raffaele Auriemma, the journalist who spoke to Olivier Giroud’s
agent yesterday about his possible switch to Napoli, reported that Arsene
Wenger has cooled his interest in the striker after news of a scheduled meeting
with Napoli on Thursday was leaked.
But could the professor be playing games?
We’ll have to wait and see…
