The centre-back endured an
injury-ravaged season last term, making just 22 appearances for City in all competitions.
He also
missed Belgium’s Euro 2016 campaign, in which they were knocked out at the quarter-final stage
by Wales.

City boss Pep Guardiola is working hard to
revamp his squad this summer and
it is unknown if Kompany will be part of his plans going forward.
Starsport do understand that Guardiola is
interested in mega-money moves for Everton defender John Stones and Juventus
centre-back Leonardo Bonucci.
Now
Turkish outlet Fanatik claim Besiktas are eager to wrap up a
quick-fire swoop for Kompany and talks have already opened.
They claim Besiktas have
drafted a contract for the 30-year-old and believe they can get the deal done
within the following week.
It is
said that the Super Lig side will offer £25m for Kompany and match the wages he
is currently on at the Etihad.
