Manchester United agree ‘verbal’ contract with transfer target Ivan Perisic

Manchester United close in on world-class Serie A star after verbal agreement reached

Manchester United are edging closer to sealing the transfer of Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic despite the fact they have yet to make a bid, according to reports in Italy.
Inter have already confirmed United have opened talks with the club about bringing the attacker to Old Trafford.

Corriere dello Sport
claim Jose Mourinho has reached a verbal agreement with Perisic as United prepare a bid.

United are convinced Perisic wants the move, but are not 100 per cent sure they can come to terms with Inter.

The Serie A side want £44 million for the Croatia international and the difference in valuations could still derail the transfer.
United believe the quoted asking price is ridiculous for the winger and are worried Inter could stand firm.
Inter reportedly have an offer from Paris Saint-Germain while Mourinho is believed to have already met personally with the winger.

Mourinho is eager to add pace and width to a United side that has struggled to produce goals.
United finished sixth in the Premier League, but enjoyed success in the cup competitions as they won the Europa League and EFL Cup.
The Europa League triumph ensured a Champions League spot and United can now pursue the best players in the world with elite European football on the table for new additions.
