Chelsea football star, N’Golo Kante reportedly suffered a frightening health scare as he collapsed during training last Friday, just days before their Premier League clash with Manchester City.
The 26-year-old French midfielder was said to have fainted at the club's Cobham training base as Antonio Conte's side prepared for Sunday's game at the Etihad.
According to The Telegraph, Kante's concerned team-mates were worried the Frenchman had suffered a heart problem when he dropped to the floor in front of them at the club’s Cobham training ground.
A Chelsea doctor quickly rushed to the scene where Kante slumped, and soon after he was sent for cardiology tests which came out clear.
The former Leicester City star was cleared to travel to Manchester with the rest of the squad but then fell ill on Sunday morning and the decision was taken not to risk playing him, The Telegraph reported.
But on Monday, the footballer reported for training as normal and encountered no problems.
Kante's scare came just days before Fiorentina captain Davide Astori was found dead in his hotel room in Udine on Sunday. The 31-year-old Italian defender was found just hours before his team were due to face Udinese in a Serie A fixture.
