4 Edo State Students Killed in Road Accident

 students of the College of Agriculture, Iguoriakhi, Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, died in an accident, early Friday, on the Benin-Warri Expressway.
A survivor of the accident, who gave his name simply as Collins, said 14 of them, all students of the college, were headed for the venue of the burial ceremony of the grandmother of a colleague in Delta State.

Collins said they the vehicle conveying them suffered a burst tyre which caused it to somersault.
Three of the students reportedly died immediately, while one the five others that were injured and were rushed to the Benin Central Hospital also died.
Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Mr Luka Ikpi, who confirmed the accident, attributed it to speeding.
He said three persons died and five injured victims were taken to the hospital.
