A foolish teen who boasted about her dad's discrimination payout on Facebook has cost him $80,000 (£47,750) after breaching a confidentiality clause.
Patrick Snay, 69, sued Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami for age discrimination and won $10,000 in back pay and an $80,000 settlement, reports say.
But the daughter's post looks set to be one of the costliest Facebook posts ever.
"Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer. SUCK IT."
Word of the girl's cyber boast eventually reached the school, they then refused to pay the settlement, saying Snay broke his confidentiality agreement.
"Snay violated the agreement by doing exactly what he had promised not to do," the judge said according to the Miami Herald.
Under the terms of the agreement the head master was supposed to stay tight-lipped but instead told his daughter.
Snay, who is now headmaster at Riviera Preparatory Academy in Coral Gables, can still appeal to overturn the decision at the Florida Supreme Court.
