Police arrest five with sliced human parts

 

Five persons were on Saturday arrested in Ogun State for allegedly being in possession of cut human parts.
PREMIUM TIMES learnt that the suspects were apprehended at  Joju area of Ota in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State following a tip off.

Confirming the arrest, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, named the suspects as Kubura Salami, Tantolorun Abimbola,Kafaya Popoola, Wahid Ibrahim, and Adamu Rafiu.
He said exhibits recovered from them include one human head and pieces of human flesh in a container stained with liquid substance suspected to be human blood.
Mr. Adejobi said the Ogun State Police Commissioner, Ikemefuna Okoye, has ordered that the case be handed to the Special Anti-robbery Squad, SARS, in Lagos, which collaborated with the Ogun police for the arrest.
The spokesperson said the arrest was part of an ongoing investigation with the Lagos SARS.
“Ogun Command will complement Lagos command in the course of its investigation of the incident,” he said.
Mr. Adejobi assured the public that the Ogun police would not condone any act of criminality in the state. He asked the public to continue to assist the police with information.
