United 'open talks over £54m Cavani deal'

United 'open talks over £54m Cavani deal'
Manchester United might not have a manager, but senior officials are said to have met with Edinson Cavani’s agent this week to discuss a summer switch to Old Trafford.
United are gearing up for a busy summer with about £150million set to be splurged on new talent, in a bid to reinvigorate the squad.

Southampton ace Luke Shaw looks to be first through the door, but he could be followed by PSG ace Cavani after talks were held with his representatives this week.
According to the Daily Star, senior United officials held talks with his agent over a move to the Premier League at the end of the season, and the player is now keen on making the move.
Cavani is rated as one of the best strikers in the world, but he has gone off the boil since moving to PSG last summer.
The French club, who have been linked with Karim Benzema and Loic Remy, could part with the Uruguay international for the right price – thought to be £54million.
United would clear space up front by allowing Javier Hernandez to depart, while Danny Welbeck may also leave.
