Man United 'ready to take £12.5m hit on Fellaini'

Louis van Gaal looks ready to wield the axe when he takes charge of Manchester United after the World Cup, with reports suggesting he is willing to sell Marouane Fellaini for just £15m.

According to The Times, Dutch coach van Gaal – who was named as successor to David Moyes last month – wants to ring the changes at Old Trafford, starting with £27.5m flop Fellaini.
The Belgian international only arrived at Manchester United last summer, when Moyes brought him in from Everton on transfer deadline day, making Fellaini his only signing of note during the window.
But Fellaini has failed to impress at Old Trafford, so much so United are reportedly willing to take a £12.5m hit on the midfielder.
However, despite The Times’ claims of a sale, no clubs have been mentioned in connection with the 26-year-old, even at a knock-down price.
Fellaini scored no goals in his first season at United, which was disastrous for the club as they failed to qualify for either the Champions League or Europa League.
