West Ham plot summer raid for Emmanuel Adebayor

West Ham plot summer raid for Premier League striker

West Ham will launch a fresh attempt to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor this summer.
The Hammers were on the verge of securing former Arsenal and Manchester City star before Spurs chief Daniel Levy blocked the move as he feared the forward would fire West Ham into Europe.

But, according to the Mirror, Levy is now thought to be prepared to sanction a season long loan for the forward, who has one year left to run on his contract at White Hart Lane.
The 31-year-old wants to stay in London and was reportedly furious when Spurs blocked his move to Upton Park in January.
A stumbling block could be the players wages, however, as Adebayor earns £100,000 per week and West Ham would Spurs to subsidise that.
