Del Piero backs Chelsea boss Conte for Premier League glory

Antonio Conte can win the Premier League title with Chelsea in his first season, says Alessandro Del Piero

New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte can win the Premier League title with the Blues in his first season in charge, says Italian legend Alessandro Del Piero.
Conte, who was in charge of Italy's progression to the quarter-finals at Euro 2016, begins work at Stamford Bridge this month and has a big job on his hands to turn the club around.
Defending Premier League champions at the start of last season, Chelsea had a spectacularly poor campaign, finishing in tenth place as the club dispensed with the services of Jose Mourinho.

Conte is the man charged with leading the revival and Del Piero, who played alongside him in Turin, is in doubt he'll be a success in the capital.
'He's a good guy, he loves to work a lot,' Del Piero told Sky Sports
'If he has a chance to talk to players in the right way, and if they understand what he wants, Chelsea can have a very good season and probably win the title.
'It's not easy, the Premier League is amazing this year in terms of players and coaches, but he has a chance.'

Conte, who is currently on holiday after his Italy team were beaten on penalties by Germany in the last eight at Euro 2016, caught the attention of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich with his work in charge of Juventus.
The 46-year-old claimed three consecutive league titles in charge of the Turin giants and has already started work on his Chelsea revolution.
He sanctioned the £33million signing of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille earlier this month with further deals likely to be in the pipeline.
Conte remains keen to add Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan to his squad too but the Blues are still locked in discussions with Roma over a fee believed to be in the region of £33million.
