Domenico Berardi in talks with Inter Milan

Serie A giants have been in talks for weeks with striker Conte ordered Chelsea to buy

Inter Milan have been in talks with Sassuolo for weeks over the potential transfer of attacker Domenico Berardi, according to reports in Italy.
The 22-year-old is believed to have been scouted by Liverpool and high on the wishlist of Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

Chelsea were reportedly ordered by Conte to go out and buy the striker at the end of the season as the Italian looks for a suitable challenge to first-choice attacker Diego Costa.
Liverpool will need to bolster their attacking options in the summer with Daniel Sturridge expected to leave, but Calciomercato claim Inter have been negotiating with Sassuolo for several weeks.

Sassuolo are waiting to hear back from Juventus about whether they want to trigger their first-option to buy the promising striker.
Juventus have an agreement in place to buy Berardi should they wish to and it has been suggested they blocked his move to Inter before.
Sassuolo have given Inter the green light to pursue Berardi who they value at around £35 million (€40 million).

Berardi spent four months on the sidelines this season due to injury, but has still managed to score seven goals and provide four assists in all competitions.
The Italian’s form in the Europa League practically caught the attention of other clubs as he struck five times in four games earlier in the season.
Berardi’s current deal runs until 2019 with the youngster thought to be keen on a move to Inter.
