Guinean baby girl born on flight promised educational support, future job

A Guinean baby girl who was delivered 42,000 feet mid-air on a Turkish Airlines flight from Guinea’s capital Conakry to Istanbul in Turkey early April has been promised educational support.

Turkish Airlines offered to support little Kadiju through her education and also give her a job as a staff member of the airlines in the future, the company’s chairman, Ilker Ayci said in Istanbul last Thursday.

Kadiju was delivered by cabin crew as a premature baby after her mother, Nafi Diaby who was 28 weeks pregnant, suffered labour pains after take off.
The baby brought joy to the faces of the cabin crew even after the Boeing 737 landed at the Ouagadougou Airport in Burkina Faso where Kadiju and her mother were reported to be in good health at a hospital.
