Defenders Luke Shaw and Eric Bailly were added to Manchester United’s growing injury list against Swansea.
England left-back Shaw – who has completed just four Premier League games this season – went off with an ankle problem after nine minutes. And centre-back Bailly then limped off in the 61st minute.
United are already without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
Midfielder Marouane Fellaini is suspended after headbutting Sergio Aguero in the 0-0 draw at Manchester City on Thursday.
Before Sunday’s game at Old Trafford, United boss Jose Mourinho had joked he may have to play in defence.
He said: “I’m also training hard in the gym so I can be an option.
