I didn’t kill my husband – Lawyer who allegedly stabbed husband to death in Ibadan SHOCKS the world

A lawyer identified as Yewande Oyediran, with the Oyo State Ministry of Justice, who is standing trial for allegedly stabbing her husband, Lowo, to death, has denied killing him.
The defendant claimed she had a misunderstanding with her France-based husband on February 2, 2017, when the it was Lowo that threatened to kill her, when the case came up again at an Oyo State High Court, Ring Road, Ibadan.

While being led in evidence by her lead counsel, Mr. Leye Adepoju, Oyediran said her husband sustained injuries when they had a disagreement and had to be treated in a hospital.
She explained that the fight was as a result of a call she received from a woman who claimed that she had a child for her husband.
She said, “My husband confirmed it and we quarrelled over it, but we settled the issue.
“However, after a few hours, he started hitting me with a plank. He was angry about the injuries and threatened to retaliate. I managed to escape, but he followed me outside with a knife.
“Our landlord helped me out of his grip. I rushed to our landlord’s flat with my husband hot in pursuit. Suddenly, I saw him fall on his back.
“I rushed back and tried to pull him up only to see blood gushing out of his neck. I shouted for help and the landlord and his wife, together with his son, and a doctor whose clinic was on our street, tried to apply first aid.
“My landlord and I went to our neighbour, Mrs. Olubunmi Onipede, to help me take him to a hospital.”
Asked if she was responsible for her husband death, Oyediran said, “I did not kill my husband. I love my husband, even if we quarrelled, it wouldn’t be to the point of death,” she replied.
