£88m Chelsea target Verratti agrees personal terms with club for summer transfer

Marco Verratti has reportedly agreed personal terms with Barcelona, but Paris Saint-Germain are refusing to sell.
The midfielder has been heavily linked with a summer transfer with Premier League giants Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal all mooted to be interested.

Verratti enjoyed an excellent season for PSG and impressed in their Champions League campaign.
Barcelona are believed to be Verratti’s No.1 choice and Calciomercato claim the player and the club have already come to an agreement.

Verratti recently met with Barcelona representatives in Ibiza with his agent and a deal was struck.
The Italy international subsequently told PSG he wants to leave the club, but the French side are not budging.
Verratti is valued at around £88million as one of the most coveted midfielders in the game.

The 24-year-old is also at the perfect age for an investment and Lionel Messi has personally told Barcelona Verratti should be signed.
Messi’s backing has helped accelerate talks with Verratti habouring a life-long dream to play alongside the Argentine superstar.

PSG offered Verratti a new contract on par with the €10m a year they pay Edinson Cavani, but that deal has been rejected.
Bayern Munich are also keen on Verratti, but the Italian has his heart set on joining Barcelona.
But the Catalan giants do not want to sour their relationship with PSG, meaning Verratti will have to be the one to force the move.
