Nigerian Doctor dies at Lagos Airport on arrival from US on Emirate Airlines


The spokesperson for the Lagos Airport Police Command, Joseph Alabi, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday
A Nigerian passenger on Emirates Airlines on Wednesday slumped and died on arrival at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.


The passenger, who arrived on the aircraft with registration number EK783, was identified as Dr. Olusola Dada with passport number A04501199.

The spokesperson for the Lagos Airport Police Command, Joseph Alabi, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday.

Alabi said the incident was reported to the police authorities after the passenger was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

The deceased, who was said to have flown in from the U.S. alongside his wife, reportedly collapsed at about 3.55p.m at the check port screening point.

NAN gathered that efforts by the airport medical personnel to resuscitate Dada proved futile and he was pronounced dead at 5.34 p.m.

It was further gathered that the deceased was the District Governor-Elect, Lions Club International, District 404 A1.
