Manchester City latest signing Olarewaju Kayode who has been sent on loan to Spanish La-Liga side Girona has been cleared to make his debut for the newly promoted side this weekend.
Girona will take on Atletico Madrid in their opening La-Liga fixture this weekend, and Kayode who has been training with the team while expecting his transfer to be made official could take part in the game.
His former side Austria Wien confirmed all the necessary paper works that needed to be done has been done, formally announcing his transfer to Man City and his subsequent loan to Girona.
“After very long and tough negotiations, we have now clarified all the details and now also the last signatures and formalities done, so the transfer is finalised,” explained Austria wien top official Markus Kraetschmer.
“In the last few weeks and months, there were several offers for Larry (Kayode), he had two years of contract with us, and of course we did not want to lose him, but he wanted to take advantage of his opportunity abroad and a much improved Offer came from England, we also agreed with his wish,” said sports director Franz Wohlfahrt.
