Las Vegas massacre: Woman claims she was saved by her Apple iPhone 7 Plus

According to a Metro UK report, an American woman has revealed that her life was saved by her pink iPhone which stopped a bullet during the Las Vegas massacre on Sunday night.

She showed her phone to a taxi driver who drove her home after the shooting and took the picture above of the damaged device.

The phone is unusable, but the woman, who was at the Route 91 Festival was unharmed. A total of 59 people died and 527 were injured when Stephen Paddock opened fire on crowds of people at the concert.

Country star Jason Aldean said he was praying for the victims of the Las Vegas shootings, saying his ‘heart aches’. He also issued a rallying cry for Americans to come together.

The singer wrote something has ‘changed’ in the world, making it ‘the kind of place I am afraid to raise my children in’. ‘At the end of the day we aren’t Democrats or Republicans, whites or blacks, men or women.
‘We are all humans and we are all Americans and it’s time to start acting like it and stand together as one!’

Aldean was onstage on Sunday when a gunman shot at a crowded music festival.

‘My heart aches for the victims and their families of this senseless act,’ Aldean wrote on Instagram, adding: ‘Time to come together and stop the hate!’ The gunman who unleashed hundreds of rounds of gunfire on a crowd of concertgoers in Las Vegas had two ‘bump-stocks’ that could have converted semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic ones, officials said.

The devices have attracted scrutiny in recent years from authorities. The device replaces the gun’s shoulder rest, with a ‘support step’ that covers the trigger opening.

By holding the pistol grip with one hand and pushing forward on the barrel with the other, the shooter’s finger comes in contact with the trigger.

The recoil causes the gun to buck back and forth, ‘bumping’ the trigger. Technically, that means the finger is pulling the trigger for each round fired, keeping the weapon a legal semi-automatic. Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock had 23 guns in his hotel room.
