Photo: Bayelsa Police parades 36 males, 30 females for being in possession of Indian hemp


Asuquo Amba, the Commissioner of Police Bayelsa state today paraded 36 males and 30 females between the ages of 14 to 17 years at the command for being in possession of illegal substances suspected to Indian hemp.

He said they were not going to press any charges against them but said they will be counselled and handed over back to their parents.



The CP lamented that there were still firearms in the hands of individuals saying that the Command was still trying to mop them up as the command also rescued a 3-year-old girl Samantha Pepple who was kidnapped from Port Harcourt and brought to Southern Ijaw in Bayelsa state.

The culprit Gods power Ayakpo male 28 years was arrested with the help of Bayelsa and Rivers state serious crime units.  Amba said” On 29 of October SIB personnel through sustained monitoring perfected the arrest of two suspected kidnappers namely Daman Kotingo and Parker Okpo 47 both of Okumbiri town Sagbama.
