''It is a fallacy and a misnormer to believe that Church universities are funded by offerings collected from Church members'' Bishop Feb Idahosa says (VIDEO)

As the debate on tithing and the administration of tithing continues in Nigeria, Bishop Feb Idahosa of the Church of God Mission says it is a fallacy and a misnormer for anyone to believe that private universities owned by churches are funded from the offerings donated by the church members. In an interview with Sahara Reporters, Idahosa said

''I don't believe that churches will take money from members to start a university. To start a University in Nigeria will cost you nothing less than N2 billion, N1 billion to give to the NUC to put in an account. How long will it take for a church to ask 50 or 100 people to raise that N2 billion.  Now that is just to start. To actually go from start up to establishment, we are talking cost that run into N20 billion. It is a misnorma, a fallacy to believe that every University in Nigeria was funded from taking money from members. How much does an average Nigerian give as offering, lets tell the truth...N100, N1000, N2000, N10, 000...How long will it take to raise N10 billion from that? '' he said
