Atiku commends Liberia President-Elect, George Weah for visiting his opponent (photo)

Former President Atiku Abubakar has commended Liberia President-Elect, George Weah for following in the footsteps of Goodluck Jonathan by visiting his opponent.

"Slowly, but surely Liberia is on the mend as it's President-elect, George Weah visits his opponent - following in the footsteps of our own PDP's former President @GEJonathan in 2015." he wrote.


The former footballer, who won a landslide in the December 26, 2017 run-off election,  had visited his opponent and outgoing vice President, Joseph Boakai, as a sign of solidarity and goodwill"
