2019: ‘Armed robbers of yesterday cannot be our option’ ex-Edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole attacks PDP

Former Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has told the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that “armed robbers of yesterday” cannot be Nigerians’ option.

The former governor said this while responding to the opposition's plans to return to power in 2019. PDP in various statement released, posited it would be returning to power to rescue Nigeria from the current hardship being experienced under the ruling APC.


Oshiomole who spoke to newsmen in Edo state over the weekend, said the problems PDP created when it was in power for 16 days is what is lingfring in the APC administration and that it will take sometime for it to be addressed.

It was laughable for people to raise issues of unemployment, economic hardship, and herdsmen attacks against the ruling All Progressives Congress when several editorials written by Nigeria’s newspapers in the past had always harped on such issues. The daily confessions of PDP members on how public funds were looted should tell us that ‘the armed robbers of yesterday cannot be our option. All the newspapers editorials written from the days of the PDP were about all these issues you raised. They did not develop yesterday. What was meant for public welfare was stolen by the PDP…” he said
