Boy, 16, arrested on suspicion of murder after woman’s body discovered in home

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was discovered at a house in Carmarthenshire, Wales, United Kingdom.

Police were called to a property between St Clears and Laugharne on Tuesday evening and a woman’s body was discovered at the scene. The teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody this morning.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "We are investigating the murder of a female whose body was found at a property in the St Clears area."

The police spokeswoman added: "Police were called to the property at approximately 5.47pm on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. Next of kin have been advised and are being supported by specialist officers."

An incident room has been set up at Carmarthen Police Station and HM Coroner has been informed of the death.
