'How Rufus Akeju Coordinated The Rigging Of Oyo State Elections' - Oloyede Maculay


Though the national elections have come and gone, the joys of victory and the agonies of defeat have been heard, there is no better time than now to X-ray how Professor Attahiru Jega and some of his men performed.

If the INEC boss deserves kudos for a job well done, the same cannot be said of Ambassador Rufus Akeju, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of Oyo state. The last national and state elections in the state was a sham to say the least.

Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, sure knows how to celebrate his electoral victory in grand style.
The governor who broke the second term jinx in the state was full of joy when the election results were announced and he emerged victorious, trouncing heavy weights like former governor like Alao Akala and Rasheed Ladoja as well as Senator Teslim Folarin.
To show appreciation to his wife for standing solidly behind him, he grabbed her and gave her a long kiss.

Traffickers Caught Smuggling Nursing Mother, Children Into Nigeria


Four notorious suspected human traffickers have been caught by the Immigrations Service, Oyo State Command, while allegedly attempting to smuggle a nursing mother along with her two-year-old son, nine girls, and a boy.

The suspects and their victims were apprehended at the Saki border, in Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State. The four men were accused of involvement in a trafficking ring which was responsible for bringing in several foreigners, notably Beninois and Togolese, into the country without travelling documents.

The body of a man identified as Ismaila Abiodun, was on Monday found inside a petrol tanker with Lagos number plate XL 45 JJJ, belonging to a filling station in Amuloko area, Akanran road in the Ona-Ara council area of Ibadan.
