My Father Gives Me N500 Anytime He Wants To Sleep With Me - 15yrs Old Girl Narrates


A 15-year-year-old girl, yesterday, narrated in tears how her 42-year-old father had been sleeping with her and her elder sister since their mother left them two years ago. She said her father gives her N500 each time he wants to sleep with her. Her father, I. D. Idowu, was arrested by policemen at Ketu Division after a concerned neighbour reported the act.

Only 14m Nigerians pay tax - FIRS


The Federal Government said it is targeting an estimated revenue of $1 billion from the proposed Nigeria Voluntary Asset and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS).

The scheme takes off on May 1 for up to six months and will offer a window for those who, before now, have not complied with extant tax regulations to remedy their positions by the provision of limited amnesty to enable voluntary declaration and payment of liabilities.
The scheme will also have incentives in place to encourage early participation. Under the scheme, taxpayers will be allowed up to three years to settle their liabilities.

Charges Against Sambo Dasuki Can’t Be Consolidated, Says Court


A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has ruled that the two sets of charges brought against former National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd), cannot be consolidated because of the number of defendants involved in the charges.

Justice Baba-Yusuf, declining the motion for consolidation of the two charges said the trial would be made difficult for the court to manage if both charges are merged.

A middle aged farmer, simply identified as Elder Samson, arrested a cow and tied it down for allegedly destroying crops on his farm at Sabon- Gari, Abaji.

A girl of 11 is set to become Britain’s youngest mum. 

The child is expected to give birth in the near future.The father of the baby is believed to be only a few years older than the mother, according to police. 

Britain’s current youngest mum gave birth in 2014 when she was 12 and the father was 13 - giving them the lowest combined age of any British parents,Mirror UK reports .

The UK’s youngest dad is is Sean Stewart,of Bedford, who became a father at the age of 12 in 1998.

The Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Mr. Ahmed Saleh, on Thursday, appeared before a Federal High Court in Abuja as the second prosecution witness in the ongoing trial of a Justice of the apex court, Sylvester Ngwuta.
Saleh, who was called by the prosecution to testify on the income of Ngwuta as a Justice of the Supreme Court, said between the time of Ngwuta’s appointment in 2011 and September 2016, a period of five years, the judge had earned a total of £50,000, $196,000, N119m.

NSCDC recovers N90m from fraudsters in Nasarawa


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command said it recovered N90m from 12 suspected fraudsters.
The state commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. Bashir Lawa-Kano, said the command received 157 cases of fraud in the state in 2016, noting that the anti-corruption department recovered the money from the suspected fraudsters.
