Mother arrested for killing her 3-day-old baby in Nasarawa, dumps corpse in river

Mother of a 3-day-old baby, Mwuese Keleve,  has been arrested by the Nasarrawa Police Command, for reportedly killing her child and dumping the corpse in a river.
According to the State’s Police PRO Idirisu Kennedy, the lady who has confessed to committing the crime, but did not gave any reason for her action, was arrested after they received report of corpse of a baby in Kaderko on Monday.

32-year-old Bonface Nyambiya was brought before a Hwange Magistrates’ court in Zimbabwe for allegedly kidnapping and raping a school teacher.
A school teacher (name withheld) reported that Bonface kidnapped her and tied her to a tree and raped her numerous times over a five-hour period near Truck Stop in Hwange area of Zimbabwe.

Assault Case": S.Africa to grant Grace Mugabe diplomatic immunity


South Africa is planning to grant diplomatic immunity to Zimbabwe first lady Grace Mugabe, allowing her to return to Harare and avoid prosecution for the alleged assault of a 20-year-old model, a government source said on Friday.

The source said there was “no way” Mugabe, 52, would be arrested for the alleged assault, but that Pretoria expected the granting of diplomatic immunity to be challenged in court.

Mrs. Bola Sulaimon, mother of the 4-year-old girl murdered on Tuesday, August, 15, for ritual purposes said the blood of her daughter was sprinkled on Ogun shrine at the Iwaya, Yaba, Lagos State. The girl, Faridat, was grabbed and killed while in the care of a woman identified Mama Hafsat. Faridat was instructed to stay in the house of Mama Hafsat, along with her other siblings, while her mother rushed down to the market.

Face of the suspect who 'rented van used in Barcelona terror attack killing 13


A man suspected of hiring a van used in the Barcelona terror attack which left at least 13 people dead has been identified as Driss Oukabir.

He is alleged to have rented the Fiat van used in the attack in the town of Santa Perpetua de la Mogada.The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
He was arrested around two and a half hours after the attack, police said. A second suspect was also arrested.

DSS unsuccessfully attempts to arrest Reno Omokri


The Department of State Services (DSS) unsuccessfully attempted to arrest former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Confirming the development in an email to Vanguard, Reno said he had sent a consignment of the book, “Facts Versus Fiction”, to Nigeria for sales but when the distributor of the book got to the airport to pick the cargo, he was accosted by a customs agent who began interrogating him until a DSS agent came up to him and took over the interrogation.

The police in Nasarawa State have confirmed the arrest of a 25-year-old woman, Mwuese Keleve, who allegedly murdered her three-day-old child in the Kadarko area of Keana Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Idirisu Kennedy, who hinted this in an interview with Northern City News on Thursday in Lafia, said the command on Monday received a report about the corpse of a baby found in a river in the Keana Local Government Area.
