Hundreds of thousands march in Barcelona against Catalonia independence

Hundreds of thousands of people marched in Barcelona on Sunday to protest Catalonia’s secession from Spain, in the largest show of strength to date by unionists, who usually describe themselves as the “silent majority.”

According to the Catalan Civil Society (SCC), which organised the “Enough! Let’s go back to reason” march, more than one million people took part. Barcelona’s local police, the Guardia Urbana, gave a 350,000 estimate.

Ghana explosion: Death toll rises to seven, 132 injured

At least seven people have died, with 132 still reported injured after the two explosions at a petrol station in Ghana’s capital, Accra, the Presidency confirmed on Sunday.

Robert James Kuefler, from White Bear Lake, Minnnesota, lived with the body of his mother, 94-year-old Evelyn Kuefler, and his brother, Richard Kuefler, for around a year before their bodies was discovered.
