Police arrest 24 suspects in Taraba

The Police in Taraba State have arrested 24 suspects in connection with a clash which that occurred in Wukari on 15 April.
ASP Joseph Kwaji, police spokesperson in the state, said on Sunday that the suspects would be charged to court soon.

“The command has so far arrested 24 persons in connection with the current Wukari crisis, I can assure you that the suspects would soon be prosecuted,” he said.
On 15 April, violence broke out in Wukari when youths in the town protested the alleged killings in some villages by suspected herdsmen.
Alhaji Garba Umar, Acting Governor of Taraba, during a visit to the troubled area on Friday, imposed a 24 hour curfew on the town.
