I’ll win without rigging, violence –Omisore

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has said he will win the August 9 governorship election in the state without rigging or violence.Reacting to a statement credited to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, that the PDP could only win Osun governorship election through rigging, Omisore said Tinubu made the statement because he had seen the handwriting on the wall.

Omisore in a statement issued by his Director of Publicity and Strategy, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, said: “We want to let every discerning Nigerian particularly Osun natives know that Mr. Tinubu is fixated because of the defeat staring his sidekick, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in the face.
“The rig and roast campaign that he has embarked on with Ogbeni Aregbesola is to prepare the ground for the mayhem they plan to unleash on the people once they lose, which is imminent.”
Accusing Tinubu of making Osun a satellite state of Lagos, he said by  allegedly threatening fire and brimstone, the APC leader and Aregbesola were merely trying to protect their business empire in Osun, should the APC lose the election.
