Five-year-old gets the same haircut as friend ‘so that his teacher wouldn’t be able to tell them apart’

On 28 February, five-year-old Jax Rosebush was told by his mum that he’d need to get a haircut on the weekend.

Jax told his mum that he wanted to shave his hair really short, so that he could like exactly like his friend Reddy.

‘He said he couldn’t wait to go to school on Monday with his hair like Reddy’s so that his teacher wouldn’t be able to tell them apart,’ explained Lydia in a post on Facebook.

‘He thought it would be so hilarious to confuse his teacher with the same haircut.’

Lydia went on to share a photo of Jax and Reddy smiling side-by-side, before Jax had a haircut, so that her friends and followers could see the slight difference between the pair before Jax’s head was shaved.

She wrote: ‘Here’s a picture of Jax and Reddy from their Christmas program. I’m sure you all see the resemblance.

‘If this isn’t proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught I don’t know what is. The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair.’

While Lydia’s post had only been intended for her friends, it quickly went viral – garnering more than 136,000 likes.

People were truly moved by Jax’s plans.
