France starlet Kylian Mbappe has admitted he used to dream about Zinedine Zidane amid speculation he could soon find himself playing under the French legend at Real Madrid.
“The player made me dream, and still does when I see certain videos,” said Mbappe when asked about Zidane, who won 108 caps for Les Bleus, starring as they won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.

Mahrez asks to leave Leicester


Riyad Mahrez, one of the inspirations behind Leicester City’s fairytale Premier League title triumph, has told the club he wants to leave, he said in a statement released on Tuesday.
“Out of the huge admiration and respect I hold for Leicester City Football Club I wanted to be totally honest and transparent with them and have therefore informed the club that I feel now is the time for me to move on,” Mahrez said in a statement sent to various media outlets.

Manchester United have been rated as Europe’s most valuable club by a new report into the financial muscle of the continent’s top teams.
The report by professional services firm KPMG looked at the finances of 39 clubs based on their popularity on social media channels, revenues for the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, and success in European competitions.

The Special Intelligence Response Team, IRT, of the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, says it has arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnap of six students of Model College, Igbonla, Lagos.

He said the suspects were arrested on Tuesday in Benin.

A condemned prisoner, Rabi Ismail, who escaped from lawful custody in Hadejia Prison on December 16, 2011, has been recaptured by the Intelligence Unit of the Nigerian Prisons Service with the support of men of the State Security Service, SSS.
According to DailyNigeria, The prisoner bearing number k/22c Rabi Ismail was sentenced to death by hanging for culpable homicide by a High Court in Kano on the 5th of January, 2005.

Man shot dead in a case of mistaken identity


A man was shot three times in the head in what is believed to be a case of mistaken identity. The shooting, which happened outside a suspected drug den in Bonteheuwel on Monday night, is believed to have been gang-related.

26-year-old Sherwyn Roberts had been standing in front of the gate when three gunmen walked up to him and shot at him continuously, with three of the shots landing on his head.

A luxury Hermes handbag shattered the world auction record in Hong Kong on Wednesday, fetching an eye-popping $380,000, Christie’s spokeswoman, Gigi Ho said.

The auction house didn’t identify the buyer of the matte white “Himalaya” crocodile skin Hermes Birkin bag.

The handbag was produced in 2014 and has 18 karat gold buckles and strap loops encrusted with 205 diamonds.

A woman kept her dead mother hidden in a freezer for ten years so she could continue to claim an old age pension equivalent to £1700-a-month, prosecutors revealed today.

The 90-year-old’ corpse was found after detectives started investigating the alleged social security fraudster, who is 55 and cannot be named for legal reasons.

She was living in a detached house in the picturesque village of Horsarrieu, close to Pau, in South West France, with her mother’s remains at the end of the garden.

Dramatic pictures captured on board flight MH128 show how the man was tied down when he was restrained shortly after the plane took off from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur.

The flight returned to Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport less than an hour into the flight before midnight local time (3 p.m. UK time).

Two commercial sex workers in Ogun state have been arrested by the state police command for allegedly killing one of their customers, Adeyinka Olayinka, at the KS Hotel, Ifo yesterday May 30th.

According to a statement by the state police public relations officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the commercial sex workers, Kudirat Raji alias Angela and Esther Basiru, stabbed the deceased with a broken bottle during an argument.

A 19 -year - old woman has been sentenced to death by village elders in Pakistan ’ s Punjab province for allegedly having an illicit relationship with her cousin after she accused him of raping her at gunpoint .

3 Students Shot in Cross River Over N13m Gift by Ayade, Akpabio

Tobi Ohioh Igioh, the only child of Pastor Sidi Lawal Igioh was shot dead by suspected armed robbers on Saturday, May 27 at Ugbor, in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The victim, a Business Administration/Management student of the Benson Idahosa University was reportedly killed by a stray bullet, which was fired by suspected robbers who were escaping after an operation.
