Anibaba said where the rule was violated, residents could contact the board for redress.
The lottery boss, who spoke in a statement on Monday, said the agency usually sanctioned operators who violated the rules to ensure compliance with regulations.
He said, “We regulate and license all gaming activities conducted in Lagos State and that include lotteries, sports betting, scratch cards, interactive games, gaming machines, pool betting and casinos.
“Operators are usually expected to pay winnings within 48 hours.
We intervene in cases between operators and game users and apply sanctions where necessary. We also manage the risks of the operators. On sports betting, for instance, no operator can pay more than N10m on one ticket.
“Aside from the issue of underage betting, the major problem confronting the industry is illegal raiding of bet shops by security personnel. We have intervened several times and spoken with the police, but the problem keeps recurring.”Anibaba said the agency needed the support of stakeholders to ensure the growth of the industry.
