Man sentenced to 2 years in jail for sending fraudulent bank sms

The EFCC has secured the conviction of one Ojotomobor Ovuakponye before Honourable Justice Mohammed Yahaya of the Kano State High Court sitting in Gezawa. 


The convict fraudulently obtained the sum of N100,000 from the account of one Jummai Ruqayya Mohammed, through the bank account of his girlfriend, under the guise that he is a staff of GTB

He has sent a fraudulent SMS to the complainant, that her bank account had a problem and that she should contact her bank but unknown to her, she ended up contacting the convict.
