Fuel Scarcity: Marketer Attacks Task Force Member In Ondo, Injures Him In The Process


Members of the Anti Hoarding Committee set up by the Ondo State Government to monitor and ensure that petroleum products are not diverted or sold above regulated price were attacked on Sunday 28th January, 2018, at the Heroes Filling station, Akure.



The Committee headed by Dr Doyin Odebowale, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Strategy and Special Duties has gone out to enforce compliance when the Director of the Heroes Filling Station allegedly sent hoodlums after them leaving a member, Mr Ayodele Gbenga Oladimeji brutally wounded.

According to reports, Ondo State people, particularly residents of Akure have been experiencing untold hardship since last December when fuel scarcity resurfaced. But the State Government has vowed to put a stop to diversion, hoarding and overpricing which makes life almost unbearable for the people.
