Divorce Case Gets Messier As Pastor Anita Oyakhilome’s Birthday Was Ignored By Her Estranged Hubby

As the divorce suit no FD14D01650 filed by Vice President of the Believers’ Love World Inc., Anita Oyakhilome, at the Central Family Court, London, asking for the dissolution of her 24-year marriage to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome lingers, the couple are still not on speaking terms.

Many social media users have reached that conclusion because no known member of the church popularly known as Chris Embassy felicitated with Pastor Anita, on her birthday which was yesterday, Thursday February 26.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Removed as Trustee of Church’s U.K. Branch

This is another twist of the scandalous saga of Chris and Anita Oyakhilome’s divorce, which was initiated by the pastor wife in August 2014.

After Chris’s removal Anita now presides over a seven-man Board of Trustees of the N8.2 billion rich branch, Premium Times reports with reference to the church documents obtained by the journalists.

More trouble for the Oyakhilomes as U.K. Commission probes Christ Embassy over payments

According to a new report on Premium Times, the imminent breakup of their marriage may be the least of the problems popular mega-church pastor, Chris Oyakhilome, and his wife, Anita, are facing  at the moment as the United Kingdom agency is investigating the UK branch of their church, Christ Embassy, over controversial payments.

The United Kingdom Charity Commission has launched a probe into the transfer of at least N941 million (£3.6 million) by the church to overseas entities between 2008 and 2012.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Denies Adultery Accusations, Threatens To Sue Journalists

Though not denying the growing divorce scandal surrounding him, the head pastor of Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has threatened legal recourse against journalists publishing stories about him and his wife, Anita's divorce.

The pastor, who spoke through his lawyer, Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), called the accusations of adultery a "false and malicious" attack against him and the church.

Recall that Last week, there was a viral media report that Rev. Anita, wife of the popular spiritual father, Pastor Chris, had filed for divorce in the UK, on the grounds of ‘adultery’ and ‘unreasonable behaviour.’

However, in the heat of the controversy, another scandal has come up in the chuch, as Pastor Chris’ younger brother, Rev. Ken as he popularly called was alleged to have impregnated a South African lady, name withheld, a member of the Church in Randburg, Guateng, which is the headquarters of Christ Embassy, South Africa.

The dissolution of the marriage between Christ Embassy Church founder, Pastor Christian Oyakhilome, and his wife, Rev. Anita Odegwa Oyakhilome, has entered the final phase, TheCable can report.

 The wife is seeking divorce on the grounds of “unreasonable behaviour” and “adultery”. She outlined several allegations against the pastor which TheCable cannot publish for legal reasons. The divorce case, with Suit No FD14D01650, was filed on April 9, 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, UK, on Anita’s behalf by Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a full-service law firm with expertise in commercial law and a strong consumer focus in family, wills and estate, personal injury law and medical negligence.
