The clergy, who will turn 60 on the 11th of November has always avoided answering questions on his exit from the church, but in a chat with TheNewsNigeria, he opened up.

Robbers kill man returning from vigil 

A man returning from a vigil on Wednesday was shot and killed by suspected robbers at the Okekpa Community in Mowe, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State. Residents of the area, who identified the deceased as Mr. Taiwo, a block moulder, said the robbers were over 18.
 
Taiwo was killed by the robbers when he was returning from Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Isegun Ifeoluwapo Mowe, after a vigil. According to the residents, the robbery operation lasted three hours. Incidentally, the robbers had written the community that they would be coming to attack, but the residents never bargained it would be on that Wednesday.

This is another twist of the scandalous saga of Chris and Anita Oyakhilome’s divorce, which was initiated by the pastor wife in August 2014.
After Chris’s removal Anita now presides over a seven-man Board of Trustees of the N8.2 billion rich branch, Premium Times reports with reference to the church documents obtained by the journalists.

Oyakhilome has responded to allegations against him following the divorce case filed by his wife, Anita. “I heard that some media houses, especially in Nigeria are writing some things against me. All sorts of frivolous charges, that’s crazy. You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God.

Pastor Raped Church Member During Deliverance In Edo State

A pastor identified as Samson Odey­emi, has been arraigned at an Iguobazuwa Magistrate court for raping a married woman.
Police Prosecutor, Agagi James told the court that the offence was committed on May 14, when the pastor took the victim to a river for spiritual cleansing.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adejare Adeboye, has suspended workers of the church who did not attend the National Workers Meeting held recently.The annual national workers’ meeting is a forum for all the workers of the church to meet with the leadership and it usually holds on Saturday before the Holy Ghost Service of every year.

Prophetess Sets Daughter Ablaze

 
A prophetess with a Celestial Church of Christ in Epe, Lagos State, western Nigeria, has been arrested by the police in Epe Division, Lagos for allegedly setting her 9–year old daughter on fire in a bid to deliver her from witchcraft.
The girl was rescued by the police and was taken to Epe General Hospital where she is receiving treatment at the emergency ward of the hospital for first degree burns.

Sad News: 3 burnt to death as church caught fire in Ibadan

                               
THREE persons, including a 92-year-old man, were burnt to death yesterday, when fire razed a church Mercyland Prayer Ministries at Idi Aro, Ibadan. Four others, including a pregnant woman, escaped death in the fire that started at 1:45am.
