Nigerian banks lost N2.19bn to fraudsters ‎through e-channels in 2016

Nigerian Deposit Money Banks, DMBs, lost N2.19 billion to fraudsters through electronic channels in 2016 fiscal period, an official has said.

The Deputy Governor, Operations, Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Adebayo Adelabu, said this while unveiling a report on electronic frauds by the CBN on Tuesday.

ESPN is being called out for photoshopping Tiger Woods' mugshot for a story it ran on the golf great's Monday [May 29] arrest.

The original image taken of Woods at Palm Beach County Jail places him against a green background. The photo presents Woods as disheveled, with droopy eyes and a shaggy head of hair. The shot aired by ESPN shows his face to be exactly as it was in the original, however, his hair appears much more kept; as though it had been sprayed and slicked to the side.

3 Students Shot in Cross River Over N13m Gift by Ayade, Akpabio

Two students from the University of Calabar (UNICAL) and one other student of the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) were allegedly shot by soldiers attached to the state security outfit, Operation Skolombo, during a protest staged to demand the sum of N13 million reportedly donated by Governor Ben Ayade and Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

The students are currently receiving treatment at the Accident and Emergency Unit of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital.

Tobi Ohioh Igioh, the only child of Pastor Sidi Lawal Igioh was shot dead by suspected armed robbers on Saturday, May 27 at Ugbor, in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The victim, a Business Administration/Management student of the Benson Idahosa University was reportedly killed by a stray bullet, which was fired by suspected robbers who were escaping after an operation.
