9 Arrested For Cultism & Attempted Murder In Ebonyi

EBONYI State Police Command, weekend, arrested and paraded nine suspects allegedly involved in crimes related to attempted murder, arson and cultism.

The suspected cultists, who are mainly undergraduates of Ebonyi State University, EBSU, Abakaliki, were rounded up at their meeting spot in Ishieke, Ebonyi Local Government Area of the state by the State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, when they were about introducing new members to the old ones.
The cult group, Burkina Faso Confraternity, alias BF, was said to be notorious for terrorising the campus community.
According to Police, the suspects confessed to being members of the confraternity.
They are Adidakun Segun, 28; Augustine Dike, 26; Okoro Maduabuchi, 25; Igwe Chukwunonso, 22; Udora Emeka, 25; Kingsley Nzekwe, 26; Samuel Ikpenyi, 28; Ifeanyi Odo, 25 and Okonkwo Ikechukwu, 30.
