Jay-Z turns down best man role for Kanye West's wedding

But you’d think he’d at least be able to count on long-time chum Jay Z.

Unfortunately, rapper Jay, 44, left, is now also refusing the honour because he doesn’t want his family on reality TV.

Blushing bride Kim Kardashian, 33, is hoping to make megabucks by having her big day televised for her show Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Which could leave her groom-to-be, 36, with no best man by his side on the wedding day.

A pal of the Kardashians told us: “Jay is Kanye’s closest friend so he wants him to be best man.

“Jay agreed initially but had one condition – under no circumstances can there be any reality TV shows filming him, his wife Beyoncé or daughter Blue Ivy during the ceremony.”

Unsurprisingly, Queen Bey, 32, doesn’t want to be associated with the Kar-trashians.

We’re told: “The thought of popping up in KUWTK mortifies Beyoncé.

“She purposefully keeps herself away from trashy TV and isn’t prepared to lower her standards for anyone, or any occasion.”

Sadly for Kanye, his shrewd partner is unlikely to back down to accommodate Jay and Bey – who we spotted, above, leaving the Arts Club in London’s Mayfair on Thursday night.

Our source continued: “Bosses at E! are desperate to get the nuptials on air, and will pay millions to make it happen.”

So Kanye had better start making some new friends... and fast.
