Activities at the headquarters of Italian oil giant AGIP were this morning (Monday) brought to a standstill as the workers of the company shut down the Headquarters of the company located at Maitama Abuja. CKN Nigeria reporters at the scene saw the workers of the company protesting in front of their office.

They alleged non payment of their salaries and other benefits by the management of the company. They said all attempt to make the management of the company to see reasons with them fell on deaf ears. They have vowed to completely shut down the activities of the company across Nigeria if their demands were not met. CKN Nigeria's attempt to speak to some management staff of the company was unsuccessful as at the time of filing in this report
