Remy 'in talks' with Liverpool despite Arsenal interest

Remy 'in talks' with Liverpool despite Arsenal interest
Liverpool could be about to snatch Loic Remy from under the noses of Arsenal after the Frenchman reportedly held talks with the Reds’ hierarchy.
Remy, who spent the season on loan with Newcastle, looks certain to leave QPR this summer, even if Harry Redknapp’s side clinch promotion to the Premier League tomorrow with victory over Derby in the play-off final.

There is strong interest in the striker from both Arsenal – who Remy has been to watch recently – and Liverpool, with both clubs looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season’s Champions League campaigns.

But while the Gunners looked favourites to land the 27-year-old, it appears Liverpool could sneak in to secure his signature.
Remy scored 14 goals for the Magpies this term and has been selected in France’s World Cup squad, meaning any club looking to do a deal for the striker will want to tie it up before the tournament kicks off in Brazil next month.
