Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is reportedly being tracked by Bayern Munich ahead of a prospective transfer to Germany in January.
According to The Evening Standard, the German champions have kept a close eye on the midfielder ever since the 25-year-old signed for The Gunners from Real Madrid in 2013.
It is believed that Bayern coach Pep Guardiola believes he can persuade Arsenal to part with the Germany international in January with a big-money offer – with the player himself appearing unsettled at the north London club.
It is claimed that Ozil’s body language during recent matches has suggested that he is unhappy at the Emirates stadium outfit after being played out of position this term.
With the midfielder having failed to fulfil his potential at Arsenal since making his switch to the club last year, Ozil recently hit back at critics for his showings in the Gunners shirt this season.
‘I have the feeling that I am criticised more, that happened to me in the Bundesliga and also at Real Madrid,’ he told German news agency DPA.
‘I don’t play to prove anything to anybody, I play for Arsenal.’
