Container crushes commercial bus in Lagos

Police Parade Dogs That Attacked 4Yr-Old Boy In Lagos

 

The Lagos State Police Command has stated that only the courts could decide the fate of the two dogs, which attacked and ate off the scalp on a four year old boy, Omonigho Abraham’s head in Akesan Estate, Igando area of Lagos State, earlier this month.

The command, which paraded the two dogs at its headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos State on Tuesday, added that the dogs had been medially examined and found to be rabies and Ebola-free.

Andy Lee House, a 39-year-old car dealer from Lufkin, Texas, pleaded guilty to wire mail fraud on Tuesday and faces up to 20 years in a federal prison when he is sentenced.

After the accident in November 2009, House claimed he had been reaching for his cell phone when he looked up and saw a pelican, causing his 2006 Bugatti Veryon to swerve off the road.

He crashed into La Marque Lagoon near Galveston and left on the engine, filling it with salt water and destroying the vehicle, the Lufkin Daily News reported.

Nigerian Military Chopper That Crashed Was Used By Terrorist

Passenger boat capsizes in Lagos, one missing

A passenger boat carrying ten passengers capsized in the afternoon of Monday June 16th in Lagos. According to passengers on the boat, which was heading to Coconot Island from Tincan Island, waves from bigger boats passing around them at the time caused the boat to lose balance and capsize.

And despite the fact that all the passengers were wearing life jackets, one person drowned and his life jacket was seen floating around. Other passengers were rescued. The body of the missing person is yet to be recovered.

He was driving a Golf saloon car and was said to be on his way to Lagos Island when a Daf truck rammed into his car.The driver of the truck was said to be on top speed,and lost control of his vehicle, ramming into the median of the bridge, before crashing into the deceased’s car.

An eye witness said “It took several hours before the victim could be rescued from the wreckage of the vehicle. He was trapped behind the wheels with blood gushing out of his head.”

A female cleaner, attached to Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has died after a tanker, loaded with fuel crushed her two legs, along Ikorodu Road, Ojota, Lagos State.

The woman, identified as Kikelomo Bamidele was said to have been on duty along the expressway, when the DAF tanker, marked NSR593, loaded with PMS, appeared from nowhere and rammed into her, crushing her two legs.
