Police Arrest 18 Year-old Lady, 2 Others For Kidnapping


The Kano state Police command has arrested an 18 years-old lady, alongside two others who partake in the kidnapped of 4-year –old child last Tuesday in Tudun Wada Local Government Area.

The kidnappers demanded a ransom of 3 Million Naira and threatened to kill the innocent child if they refuse to adhere to their demand.
This is just as the kidnappers said they wanted to use the ransom demanded to establish a poultry farm.

Nigerian woman extradited to the UK for child sex trafficking

Franka Asemota is in big trouble with the Interpol.

A notorious Nigerian female child sex trafficker, Franka Asemota who has been on the run from the law has finally been arrested by the Interpol and has been extradited to the United Kindom.
The 36-year-old Asemota had been declared wanted by the international police over her roles in international child sex trafficking and smuggling business,  questioning on her involvement in crime against humanity.

Boko Haram Abducts 400 Women & Children In Borno State

Boko Haram militants have kidnapped more than 400 women and children from the northern Nigerian town of Damasak that was freed this month by troops from Niger and Chad, residents said on Tuesday.

There was no immediate official confirmation of the figure, but the Islamist group has previously carried out mass kidnappings. Boko Haram's abduction last April of nearly 300 schoolgirls in the region stirred international outrage and drew global attention to the group's six-year insurgency.

I Was Offered N30,000 To Convey A Kidnapped Woman Into The Bush - Okada Man


A 24-year-old commercial motorcyclist who confessed to being a member of a kidnap syndicate that specialised in abducting their victims from Ogun and Lagos states, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Special Anti Robbery Squad. The suspect, Taiwo Akilo, was arrested at the weekend while on the verge of taking the syndicate’s female victim to their hide out inside a bush around Imodi- Ijasi, along Ijebu-ode/Ikorodu road. The captive, one Mrs Abosede Adenuga, was reportedly abducted at about 10.50pm, around Ikorodu area of Lagos, last Sunday.

Three Chinese nationals kidnapped in Kogi

In what has become a trend, Barely one week after two expatriate Chinese workers were kidnapped in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, three other Chinese citizens were on Friday abducted in the state.

It was gathered that the three Chinese nationals were kidnapped at the crusher area, a suburb of Lokoja metropolis in the early hours of Thursday.

It’s a story about a 300level English Language student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Annabel Nzubechukwu Edeh, who has not been seen since she left a night club with an unknown man many weeks ago in Awka, Anambra state.
Annabel had gone to the night club with friends on September 17th and as the group of girls prepared to leave, Annabel told her friends she was in need of money so would go home with a guy she’d met at the club and would return to school the following morning. It’s been 6 weeks and Annabel hasn’t been seen.

The father of former Manchester City and Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez was kidnapped this morning in Argentina, but has now been released according to reports emerging in South America.
Argentine website TN are reporting that Tevez’s father was in Moron, an area to the west of Greater Buenos Aires when the incident happened at around 7am local time this morning.

Three Nigerians, Olusoji Oluwafemi, 44, Johnson Olayinka, 45, and Florence Obadiaru, 48, have been jailed for a total of 13 years in the United Kingdom for being the London connection in a global trafficking conspiracy.

In a report by Daily Mail UK, dozens of women are being smuggled into Britain as sex slaves every year under the threat of black magic curses, it was revealed Friday night.

Police are increasingly concerned at the threat of international trafficking rings who target vulnerable and poor African women.

'I was strangled, tied up' ─ Kidnapped six-year-old boy recounts

A six-year-old boy, Emmanuel Emeka, who was rescued from a suspected kidnapper on Wednesday in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, has recounted how he was lured, seized and tied up by his abductor.

Emmanuel said the suspect, identified as Mama Ifunaya, who was a neighbour, lured him into her room, strangled him, covered his mouth with clothes before tying him up with rope to prevent him from screaming.

Gunmen Abduct Bayelsa Commissioner’s Mother, Demand His Resignation

Gunmen have abducted 78-year-old Patimi Akene, the mother of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Mr. Furoebi Akene. The abduction of Patimi came 18 days after Ogboro Orumo, 90-year-old mother-in-law of Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Tombowei Benson, was kidnapped. Orumo’s whereabouts had remained unknown since May 30 when her abductors whisked her away from her residence in Krokorosei in the same Southern Ijaw Local Government Area. Sources said Patimi was kidnapped on Saturday by six gunmen at Ofoinbiri community.

A suspected kidnapper has told how a gang member’s wife, assisted them in kidnapping her boss, a multi-million in Lagos State.
Incidentally the woman’s husband, Ugo, had been to prison twice for kidnapping, which she knew, but apparently did not see anything wrong in assisting him to kidnap her boss.
Dominic George, a suspected robber and kidnapper who gave the information to the police, explained that Ugo, a gang member, now at large, was assisted by his wife to monitor her boss’s movements.

Boko Haram kills Emir of Gwoza, no hostage taken

The Borno state government, in Nigeria’s north east, has denied reports that two traditional rulers in the state going to a funeral in nearby Gombe state were kidnapped this morning by Boko Haram gunmen.
Government however confirmed the death of the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta and two policemen.

Usman Gwari, Anambra Police Commissioner, said on Saturday in Aguleri, that the police have arrested two suspected kidnappers operating in the state.
Gwari, who addressed journalists in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, said they were arrested through the collaborative effort of the State Joint Security Operations.

The Anambra Police Command has launched a manhunt for the abductors of Chike Okoli, the former Commissioner for Science and Technology in the state.
Speaking to NAN in Awka on Friday, the command’s Public Relations Officer, Chukuemeka Emeka, called for information from members of the public that could lead to the arrest of the kidnappers.

Chibok girls : President Jonathan inaugurates fact-finding committee

President Goodluck Jonathan today inaugurated a 30-man fact-finding committee to look into the rescue of kidnapped Chibok girls. The committee is expected to speak to the public at least once a day to keep everyone abreast with recent developments on the case.

The committee will look into issues surrounding the abduction of the girls and also consider possible rescue plans. While inaugurating the committee, the President said;
