I see myself being at Manchester City for a long time – Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne says he can see himself at the Etihad for “a long time”.

De Bruyne joined City from Wolfsburg in August 2015 for a fee of £54.5m, signing a six-year contract.

Since moving to England, De Bruyne has been one of the standout players in the Premier League, contributing 25 goals and 45 assists in just 104 games in all competitions.
And with City currently sitting top of the Premier League, the 26-year-old says he is loving life under manager Pep Guardiola.

“Since Pep came to the club, he plays a style of football I like to play, so it makes it easy as a player,” De Bruyne said in an exclusive interview with Redknapp.

“I like it here, it is the perfect environment and since I came here there has been a lot of trust in me. I like the project they are doing from the moment I came here.
“There was an older team (when I first arrived), they did a lot of transfers, a lot of young people, they are building for the future.

“I like the project and I am really happy here and I see myself being a long time here.”
Next up for the unbeaten Premier League leaders is Arsenal at home in front of the Sky Sports cameras – a fixture of huge significance for both teams, according to De Bruyne.
“It is a very important one again. We have Arsenal and United have Chelsea, so there are a lot of things that can happen again.

“If we win that game, it means that somebody else is also going to lose points with Arsenal.
“So it puts pressure on the rest, it gives us a good advantage and it is always handy to have more points and to put pressure on the other people.”
