President Jonathan Begged Me Thrice To Dump APC – Atiku


Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has revealed how President Goodluck Jonathan repeatedly appealed to him to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, and return to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

Atiku said the president pleaded with him three times, once during a surprise midnight visit to his house.

Why I am not visible in Buhari’s campaign – Atiku Abubakar


Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has explained why he has not been attending the campaigns of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari.

Atiku, in an interview with BBC Hausa, in the early hours of Friday, said he had not been invited to the APC presidential campaign rallies.

Fayose: Atiku, Northern Leaders Have Withdrawn Supports For Buhari

kiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, has said the alleged tactical withdrawal of support by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and leaders of thought in the North for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), were enough signals that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost the battle.

Fayose declared that the new development has deflated the ego of the opposition party to the extent that it has tactically conceded defeat few days to the March 28 presidential election.

Atiku Under Pressure To Dump APC As Jonathan Woos Him


Eighteen days to the presidential election some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have put former Vice President Atiku Abubakar under intense pressure to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) and back the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Also, Atiku’s supporters, who feel shortchanged in APC are urging him to throw his weight behind the President, since he did not realise his ambition of being the standard bearer of the opposition party.

Atiku Finally Declares For President, Promises "Great New Nigeria"


Former Nigeria Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has declared his interest in contesting next year’s presidential election on the banner of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the Shehu Musa Yar' adua Centre in Abuja, where he addressed a World Press Conference on Wednesday, the ex-founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed his determination and that of APC to give Nigerians the country of their dreams, devoid of corruption yet bent on enthroning change.

Atiku Abubakar declares interest in the 2015 presidential race


Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has finally declared his interest in contesting in the 2015 presidential election on the ticket of the APC. Atiku said he will declare officially on Wednesday, September 24. This was contained in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Mallam Garba Shenu, in Abuja this morning.
