Nigerian Troops kill 200 Boko Haram terrorists


ABUJA—No fewer than 200 members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect, were reportedly killed, yesterday, in a  battle with soldiers of 7 Division, Nigerian Army when the sect members in their hundreds attempted to launch attack on Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.

Also, more than six vehicles including an armoured tank with Arabic inscription; Rocket-Propelled Launchers, anti-aircraft guns, assorted number of AK-47 rifles with ammunition were recovered from the terrorists by the troops.

Plateau State Police Command has paraded a man who had sold his wife to ritual killers for N800,000 in his bid to get rich quick.

State Police commissioner, Nasiru Oki who paraded revealed that one Maimako Shephang of Kwalla village in Shendam local government area of the state had in August this year, at about 3.00pm lured his wife who was identified as Agnes to the bush and on getting there, handed over her to two masked men.

Two held for defrauding foreign investor N1.155b

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested two men who allegedly defrauded a foreign investor of the sum of $7.9, equivalent of N1. 155b.
The suspects Mr. Victor Uadiale and Captain Nnaji Everest were said to have been arrested separately in connection to the scam.

According to the EFCC spokesman, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, Uadiale, the principal suspect, was the arrow head of the international syndicate, alleged to be versed in defrauding international businessmen seeking investment opportunities in Nigeria.

Leader Of Christian Association Of Nigeria, Oritsejafor, Admits Ownership Of Jet Caught With $10million In South Africa

Ayo Oritsejafor, the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, had however leased the jet to another party, Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, told PREMIUM TIMES, meaning Mr. Oritsejafor had no control over the use of the aircraft. Mr. Oritsejafor’s church also confirmed the ownership in a separate statement Tuesday. The church said the pastor has a “residual interest” in Eagle Air, a company that manages the aircraft.

The condemned soldiers include: Cpl. Jasper Braidolor, David Musa, Friday Onu, Yusuf Shuaibu, Emmanuel Igomu, Andrew Ngbede, Nurudeen Ahmed, Ifeanyi Alukhagbe, Alao Samuel, Amadi Chukwudi, Alan Linus and Stephen Clement.
However, Jeremiah Ichocho, who was found guilty of Absence Without Official Leave (AWOL) was sentenced to two years without labour.

Arms Smuggling Jet Caught With $10million In South Africa Linked To Can President, Ayo Oritsejafor

An investigation by SaharaReporters has revealed that a Nigerian private jet caught in Johannesburg with $10 million belongs to Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, the head of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). Mr. Oritsejafor is also a close confidant of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The CAN leader’s private plane with US registration number N808HG was one of two jets cited by South African officials on September 5 Mr. Oritsejafor’s jet arrived South Africa with $9.3 million cash loaded in several suitcases. News of the seizure of the cash broke over the weekend, triggering questions about the ownership of the jets and weapons they intended to purchase.

Nigerian Man In UK Arrested For N57 Million Romance Fraud


Two men in the UK have been arrested and found guilty of perpetrating a dating scam and one of them is a Nigerian.
The Mirror reports that 37-year-old Adewunmi Nusi and Monty Emu, 28 have been convicted of money laundering after illegally obtaining £220,000 (N57,810,815.37) from vulnerable women who were looking for love.

The Nigerian military Friday morning crushed Boko Haram insurgents during a futile attempt by the insurgents to take over Konduga town, some 40 miles from Maiduguri.
Combining air power with infantry activities, troops ambushed the insurgents, who were marching from Bama to Konduga.

Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is on the trail of a group of computer hackers, who had stolen N6.28billion, about $40million, from a Nigerian bank.
At the head of the IT thieves is Godswill Oyegwa Uyoyou, who worked in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department of the unidentified bank.
He is now on the run, according to a report in a weekly newspaper. Uyoyou allegedly conspired with others and hacked into the bank’s computers, disbursing the funds to various accounts as they pleased. Uyoyou, who hails from Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, is said to have carried out the massive heist over a short period of time.
