2 Real Madrid Fans Die In Lagos

Two middle –aged men identified as Olusoga Ogunbanjo (39) and Bambo Sholeye (42) have slumped and died in Lagos after watching the crucial match in the UEFA championship final match between Atiletico Madrid and Real Madrid.
It was gathered that the duo, who lived in Lagos Island slumped and died when their team ( Real Madrid)  failed to equalise one goal at end of the 90 minutes game.

Residents told Journalists that Ogunbanjo was a refrigerator technician at 23a, Smith Street, off Evan Street, Lagos Island while Sholeye, was an official of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and resided at 49/51 Apatira Street, off Olushi Street, Lagos Island.
Our correspondent learnt that Ogunbanjo, fondly called ‘Soga’ on Saturday night went to a barbing saloon shop at Okepopo Street, off Olushi Street to shave and later sat among other people to watch the match in the shop.
According to the barber, “Soga came to shave and after shaving, he decided to watch the UEFA championship match between Real and Atiletico Madrid and when it was shown that the game had reached 90 minutes and Real Madrid has not level-up with the one goal down.
“It was another boy sitting beside Soga that noticed how he slumped on him and raised the alarm. We quickly rushed him to the emergency section of the Lagos General Hospital where he was confirmed dead by the medical doctor on duty”.
In the same vein, Sholeye who also watched the match at a nearby shop left the place in frustration, lamenting the failure of Real Madrid to equaliseat the end of 90-minutes duration and the therefater slumped and died.
But the Real Madrid equalised  during the extra-time at about 93 minute and thereafter won the match by 4-1.
