Arsenal have kick-started their summer transfer business by making an £18million offer for Real Sociedad star Antoine Griezmann.
The French winger is a long-term target for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who reportedly made an offer for him in January.
Sociedad insisted he would stay put then, but Arsenal believe the 23-year-old is now up for grabs and have made a formal £18million bid.
Juventus are also tracking Griezmann and are considering matching Arsenal’s offer, but it’s thought that the player would favour a switch to the Premier League over playing in Italy.
A quick, agile and strong attacker with a real eye for goal, Griezmann can play on either wing or even as a classic number 10.
If a deal happens, he could follow team-mate Carlos Vela to the Emirates Stadium this summer, with Arsenal ready to take up their option to buy the Mexican back.
